How long after dental implants can I smoke?
The success of dental implants is compromised if you are a regular smoker so you should inform your dentist before the treatment begins. Smoking can interfere with the osseointegration process, so if you can’t stop smoking permanently, you should at least stop smoking for the next 4-6 months after the screw is installed since this is the timeframe required for osseointegration.
