Our insurance differs from other travel insurance. We cover not only typical travel issues like small injuries, stolen luggage, etc., but also:
– an extended stay in case of prolonged treatment,
– the return trip in case of re-treatment,
– deposit return in case of treatment cancellation due to personal affairs.
Our insurance covers primarily issues related to your medical trip, but the medical costs are unfortunately out of the scope. However, you will receive the compensation for an extended stay in case of medical complication, return trip when the corrections are necessary or when you cancel the treatment due to personal affairs (for example: sudden illness, personal accident, death of relative). Yes, you can buy the insurance for one companion, and he/she will have the same scope of coverage as you. According to Special Terms and Conditions of Travel insurance for Clinic Hunter Clients, both the insured and the companion have to be European citizens. There is no limit of age.
The insurance costs 12,50 EUR per each day.

Our insurance covers one trip, but there is no problem with buying two products. If you know the dates of both trips, you can buy two insurances for each stage of your treatments.
The insurance is available for all European citizens. Each European, regardless of age, can have the same scope of insurance. That means that you can buy the insurance for yourself, your child, your parents, or whoever you want.
Buying the insurance you have to choose your travel destination. There is no location limitation. You can buy insurance if you travel to each country all over the world. The only limitation is your origin – the insurance is available only for the Europeans.
You can buy insurance if you are going abroad for each treatment type for example dentistry, plastic surgery, hair transplant, bariatrics, orthopaedics, IVF. There are no limitations. Please kindly note, that medical cost for your planned treatment is not covered by the insurance. Our product covers only unexpected expenses occurring during the trip (e.g. deposit, travel, and accommodation costs). Unfortunately, insurance does not cover complaints. If you are not satisfied you can return for the re-treatment and the insurance will cover your flight and accommodation up to 2000 EUR.
The policy of AXA Partners does not allow for canceling the insurance for medical trips. It is impossible to get a refund in case your plans changed and no medical trip abroad is needed.
Yes, we enable making changes that do not influence the duration of the policy. The data that can be updated include e.g. name, date of birth, treatment type, dates of medical trip/policy (change only for the same number of days). It is impossible to change the number of days. Yes, our medical travel policies are still valid during the pandemic. However, any claims related to COVID-19 will not be valid.
If you contract COVID-19 whilst abroad, you can claim towards costs of compulsory quarantine.
If your surgery has been cancelled or postponed, we can issue you with a full refund or arrange for the dates on your policy to be changed.
A Companion in our medical tourism policy is your mother, father or child(ren), spouse, civil partner or co-habiting partner and who is a UK Resident and travelling with you, the patient, who you wish to cover under the same policy. Companion has to meet several conditions:
– Is a UK Resident;
– Is aged between 12 months and before their 77th birthday;
– Is not undertaking a Treatment (cosmetic, elective, dental or IVF/fertility procedure);
– Has read and agreed to the terms and conditions related to this policy prior to purchase
We do not to provide coverage in the USA or Canada for patients travelling for cosmetic, elective or dental procedures, due to the nature of the high costs within the medical industry.
Bariatric procedures like gastric sleeve, band or bypass are classed as elective for the purpose of this insurance.
Our medical travel insurance covers various benefits related to the medical procedure, but it’s important to note that the actual procedure itself is not included in the coverage. We anticipate that any minor complications arising from the procedure would be handled by your clinic, hospital, surgeon, doctor, or dentist.
The standard travel insurance coverage encompasses aspects such as lost or stolen items, accidental illness or injury, as well as cancellation or curtailment. Additional benefits include:
– repatriation
– emergency medical treatment as a result of a life threatening complication
– return trip within 12 months following the diagnoses of a complication when in the UK up to 2 000 GBP
– extended trip coverage up to 1500 GBP
– refunds of deposits up to 5000 GBP

Many travel insurance providers may nullify your coverage if they become aware that you are traveling for a medical procedure. Our insurance not only offers essential travel insurance for patients but also provides additional benefits tailored for your specific medical procedure. Our travel insurance is dedicated for surgery abroad.
It is not necessary, however in order for individuals to avail themselves of the benefits outlined in our policy, including the possibility of a return trip within 12 months for corrective measures or extended stay due to delayed recovery, they must be listed as insured companions on your policy.
The policy explicitly excludes coverage for patient dissatisfaction. Should you decide to seek additional surgery abroad due to dissatisfaction with your results, any associated costs for the new trip and treatment would not be eligible for a claim under the policy, and you would be responsible for covering these expenses.
