How to get rid of scar tissue after liposuction?

It may happen that the liposuction scar does not heal as it should. There are 2 main reasons for that – improper aftercare or bad surgeon technique. Visible scars can be problematic, yet still, they are very tiny. The methods that can help tackle thick scarring include: silicone gel (applying any silicone scar gel should be discussed with a surgeon, also silicone gel for scars can be used only for fully formed scars), chemical peel, microdermabrasion, cryotherapy, laser therapy, and scar removal surgery (scar removal plastic surgery is always the last resort and should not be considered as a first choice of scar removal method). Any of the above methods can be used only after the scar is formed and Hyperpigmentation is obvious because scar removal options done too fast would bring the opposite effect. Patients should wait about a year after liposuction and only then, when the scar is still visible, they should consider scar removal.
