Can Rhinoplasty Help Breathing?

Different types of breathing problems may be helped, or even solved, by having rhinoplasty. Abnormalities in the structure of the nose create breathing problems and the most frequent is a deviated septum. The septum is the cartilage which divides the nose into two. Where the septum is not down the centre of the nose it can cause an imbalance in airflow through the nostrils. In these types of breathing problems, symptoms include difficulty in breathing, congestion, headaches and facial pain. Rhinoplasty is possibly the best treatment for breathing problems of this nature, although a doctor will need to confirm this as breathing problems may be caused by other issues.
