Later in the years 2006- 2011, he attended Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital where he gained practical knowledge regarding bariatric procedures. He is a member of the Turkish Surgical Society and a Representative of the Turkish Society of Surgery. He received the Global Researcher Award in SAGES Baltimore in 2013 for the work regarding the comparison of Laparoscopic Common Bile Duct Exploration and ERCP/S+LC for Choledocholithiasis.
