Is gastric plication reversible?
Gastric plication is fully reversible within approximately one year after the surgery, with no significant complications to the patient, due to the fact that the procedure does not involve removing any parts of the stomach, implementing devices such as gastric balloon or rearranging of the digestive system. Sutures used to reduce stomach capacity can be easily removed.
