How does BBL work?
BBL surgery is generally performed under general anaesthesia, sometimes local anaesthetic. Firstly a liposuction procedure removes the fat from the donor area. This is a fat deposit collected from an area which would benefit from sculpting. It could be stomach fat, thigh fat or even back fat. This is usually performed using a liposuction cannula. After the fat extraction, a fat processing procedure takes place. The fat is separated from any blood or other fluids by a process of centrifugation. The pure fat is then placed into the buttock with a fat injection. Stitches are not normally needed and the whole BBL procedure lasts a couple of hours.
