When can I drive after BBL surgery?

After BBL surgery patients will be advised to avoid sitting for at least 3 weeks after the procedure. However, providing the patient is feeling OK, it may be possible to resume driving after 2 weeks with the help of a BBL pillow.

A BBL pillow is a cushion which is placed on the front part of the car seat nearest to the steering wheel. By placing the lower thigh area on this cushion and sitting with the back against the back of the seat, there should be no excess pressure on the buttock area. This sitting position will mean most of the weight is carried on the thighs. It is not recommended to drive long distances. Breaks should be taken every 30 minutes.
