How long after breast augmentation can I drink alcohol?

In general, women should abstain from drinking alcohol for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after the surgery to avoid surgical / recovery side effects of consuming alcohol. In practice, women cannot drink alcohol as long as they take pain medications and as long as the wounds heal. Alcohol interactions with drugs may be very dangerous to one’s health. Similarly, alcohol may result in bad wound healing, the effects of which (e.g. bad scarring) can be visible for the rest of a woman’s life. So, alcohol is definitely not worth trying during recovery.
