How long after breast augmentation can I exercise?
Patients can resume exercises about 3 weeks after the surgery. Of course, physical activity, e.g. walking is recommended much earlier. Regarding training, patients should start with easy movement exercises and gradually increase the length and intensity of the exercises depending on how they feel and how the body reacts to exercising. Vigorous activity, like running, must be implemented very slowly – starting with fast walking, moderate pace and short distances. Weight lifting is forbidden for up to 8 weeks -it is because chest and arms muscles should not be overburdened.
