What BMI do you need for breast reduction?

BMI (body mass index) is one of the criteria for getting breast reduction. In general, women qualified for this surgery have BMI equal or lower than 27 – it means their weight is stable. Being overweight or obesity is a factor that can increase anesthesia risks. Also, women with excessive weight might have much breast fat tissue, and naturally when they lose weight, breasts become smaller too and the surgery may not be needed. So, obesity risks can disqualify a patient from getting the surgery. Another important factor is that the weight should be stable for at least 6 months before the surgery.
