How dental crowns are made?

Your dentist will take an impression of your teeth. This model of your teeth will be used to design and manufacture your dental crowns. Manufacturing dental crowns involve shaping and polishing the crown. This is done in a laboratory and takes about two weeks. During this type, you will be wearing a temporary crown. When CAD-CAM technology is used, three phases are carried out: first, the tooth is scanned, it has already been carved and prepared to receive the crown, second, the crown is designed using software, and third, the crown is manufactured through robotic milling.
