Who makes dental crowns?
When we talk about traditional dental crowns, your dentist must take an impression or an oral scanner of your mouth and sent it to a prosthetic laboratory where they will use them to fabricate your personalized crown. In the case of CAD-CAM dental crowns, your dentist will use CAD-CAM technologies (Computer-assisted designing – Computer-assisted manufacturing) to fabricate your dental crown on the spot, so you won’t have to wear temporary crowns since the permanent crowns can be immediately fabricated.
