On a successful procedure, you shouldn’t feel anything more than discomfort and inflammation for two or three days after the implant surgery. But in very rare cases, the implant could fail and you might experience peri-implant diseases like mucositis that consist of inflammation of the surrounding mucosa of an implant, or peri-implantitis which is the inflammation of the mucosa that affects the bone and will most likely cause the failure of the dental implant.
