Baris Gulgez

Dr. Baris Gulgez was born in 1976 in Ankara. Between 1994-2000 he studied medicine in Izmir 9 Eylül Medical Faculty. In 2000, he passed the speciality exam and started specialization in General Surgery at the Numune Training and Research Hospital.  In 2005 doctor started his general surgery speciality and continued professional life working in various public and private hospitals like Mersin Forum Life Hospital or Antalya Private Mediterranean Healing Hospital. He has made a principle to improve himself by participating in various training and congresses that will enable to improve his profession. He finished endoscopic interventions training in 2008 at Istanbul University Medical School and in 2014, received advanced laparoscopic intervention training at Istanbul Acıbadem University Faculty of Medicine.

Main of his interests are: Obesity and Metabolic Surgery, Upper Gastrointestinal System Surgery (Hiatal Hernia, Recurrence Hiatal Hernia, Reflux, Achalasia), Abdominal Wall Hernias and Treatment (Open and Laparoscopic), Thyroid and Parathyroid Gland Surgery, Breast Diseases and Surgery, Colorectal Diseases and Surgery, Liver and Gallbladder Diseases and Surgery, Upper-Lower Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Procedures (Gastric Balloon Application, PEG, Stent Application)
