What is lower blepharoplasty?
Lower eyelid surgery, sometimes known as eyeball surgery, targets the issues, usually caused by ageing, in the area under the eye. These may include loose skin and sagging eye skin, fatty deposits under the eyes, dark circles, eyelid wrinkles and crepey skin. An incision is either made inside the eyelid or just below the eyelashes and the fatty deposits are ‘transposed’ i.e. moved around to give a better appearance to the lower eyelid. Any sagging skin, underlying muscles and tendons are also tightened.
