Will I have scars after gastric band surgery?
The scarring after the surgery is minimal. There are 4-5 tiny incisions, each having around 3 centimeters. The incisions are sutured after placing the band. Usually, the cuts are healed within 2 weeks and the scars gradually fade. Months after the surgery, the scars are barely visible.
