How long does gastric plication procedure last?
The gastric plication procedure may take from forty minutes to two hours. The time of the surgery depends on the patient’s overall health status, the degree of obesity, and other coexisting health problems. It is performed under general anaesthesia and the patient needs to stay in the hospital for two nights.
