How long does labiaplasty swelling last?
Labiaplasty swelling is a normal surgery side effect which appears immediately after the surgery. Labia majora and/or labia minora swelling is temporary and gets the most intense within the first days, but after about a week it should resolve. Patients can relieve swollen labia minora and labia majora by applying cold compress. If patients still notice swelling after a week, or they have labiaplasty swelling on one side only, it may be a sign of bacterial infection or yeast infection, so we advise to contact a surgeon to check that.
