How to speed up labiaplasty recovery?

Labiaplasty recovery is relatively short, but it can be even shorter when patients follow some labiaplasty aftercare instructions. To shorten the labiaplasty surgery recovery, patients should apply the following tips:

 

  • alleviate swelling and bruising by using cold compresses:
  • follow a Post-operative Diet (a healthy diet rich in nutrition; liquid diet on the first 1-2 days is also a good idea);
  • get rest when the body needs it and avoid stress;
  • maintain a relaxed sleeping position;
  • avoid sexual activity for at least 6-8 weeks;
  • avoid strenuous activities for the first 2 weeks;
  • have a positive attitude;
  • when you still feel weak, postpone going back to work;
