What are contraindications to labiaplasty surgery?

Each surgeon makes a deep evaluation of candidate for surgery. There are some surgery contraindications which makes it impossible to perform labiaplasty. The contradictions include:

• having gynecological disease, gynecological infection, some serious conditions (congenital abnormalities, functional impairments, burns);
• malignancy;
• smoking (including a tobacco smoker) – patients do not smoke for some weeks before and after the procedure;
• any chronic diseases or infections ( good health is required, if patients have any chronic conditions, they must be medically controlled);
• weight fluctuations (stable weight should be kept, not necessarily ideal body weight);
• unrealistic expectations (patients should set only realistic expectations);
• mommy makeover surgeries combination (in general, labiaplasty can be combined with e.g. abdominoplasty, rhinoplasty, liposuction, mammoplasty, but when there are too many procedures in need, or a patient expects too much, a surgeon may disqualify such patient from surgery).
