Where a child has not reached maturity, any plastic surgery performed may have to be repeated as their body matures and changes. Any procedures should be in the best interests of the child and not driven by a whim on the part of the parent or child. Children and young adults up to the age of 18 should be treated in paediatric facilities and by law are still under parental responsibility.
