How To Wash Hair After Rhinoplasty

It is advisable not to wash your hair for at least 7 days after the rhinoplasty as the incisions should not get wet and steam and hot water may loosen the nose splints. Using a dry shampoo or talcum powder will provide a short-term fix. Hair washing should take place with the head backwards to minimise the amount of water on the face, so after the first week a visit to the hairdressers may be a good idea. If you have long hair consider tying back off your face e.g. in a French plait to prevent it getting in the way or annoying you.
